After reading the text, the students will be able to analyze the text for specific literary techniques such as sensory details and author’s purpose.

Agenda Finish the notes and reading from pages Create a paragraph incorporating quotes as the supporting details. 3. Pair and share the paragraphs. Objectives The students will be able to analyze literature and create complete paragraphs using concrete details and quotes as support within the paragraph. The students will also be able to understand the author’s purpose for writing a piece of literature.

Agenda Complete the paragraph with textual support from Share the paragraph with a partner. 3. Begin working on another paragraph that is focused on textual evidence and the purpose of the author.
