P.L.A.Y. - Overview Prior Lake Athletics for Youth, serves the Prior Lake/Savage School District, to provide competitive yet fun athletic opportunities for kids. Our priority is safety, skills development, and the teaching of life lessons through sports. Our program promotes the importance of sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and integrity. We believe learning both success and failure through competition will benefit our future generations. 3

2 nd Grade Machine Pitch – Monday/Wednesday & Sat AM in May – Teams assigned selected via Coach Draft – Machine at 42 feet (37-40 mph) – Pre-June 1st = 7 pitches; can swing at all – Post-June 1st = 5 pitches or 3 strikes – 3 outs or 5 runs = end of half inning – All players bat; continuous batting order – 10 players in field; coach on field until Memorial Day – “Evening at Ponds; Year-End Tournament 13

3 rd Grade Player Pitch – Tuesday/Thursday & Sat AM in May – Teams selected via Coach Draft – Pitch from 42 feet – 3 outs or 6 runs = end of half inning – All players bat; continuous batting order – 10 players in field; No coaches on field – “Evening at Ponds”; Year-End Tournament 14
