3 BABR – Vision/Mission The Babe Ruth Baseball program, using regulation competitive baseball rules, teaches skills, mental and physical development, a respect for the rules of the game, and basic ideals of sportsmanship and fair play. In all aspects, Brooklyn Area Babe Ruth is committed to providing our participants the best educational sports experience possible. It is our fundamental belief, that every child with a desire to play baseball, be given that opportunity.

Executive Board led, with no compensation Executive Board combined experience exceeds 125 years Executive Board that is actively involved with the community Executive Board that meets with our local schools

6 BABR – League Admin Served over 7,500 youth baseball players in 20 years Served over 13,000 youths in our program through our giving Giving Grants to families that couldn’t otherwise afford to participate Donations to help offset costs to support teams & tournaments Revenue streams to help keep registration cost down for families Accidental/Injury Insurance for all participants BPAA Baseball feeds BABR Brooklyn Center Little League feeds BABR

All incoming 13s get evaluated to establish a data point to guide drafts Stations are: City League 13s, 14/15s use the evaluation scores to balance drafts Batting T, Front Toss, and machine fed Live Fielding Running Throwing Optional Pitching

15 BABR – Traveling Tryouts
Traveling tryouts begin when the city lets us on the fields after the thaw Teams are picked, tryout coaches are named, traveling coaches evaluate Spring League Games for Babe Ruth qualifications Approximately 10 5 inning games We often start with a 1-1 count All players welcome, regardless of traveling intent Minimal coaching to evaluate baseball acumen, instincts, etc. Coaches select teams
