9 Concussion Law 2011 Wisconsin Act 172 Informational notices provided on Oregon Youth Baseball website under resources. Coaches must remove any player they suspect has had a concussion. The player cannot resume participation until a medical provider has cleared him.

11 Skills Assessments  Provides Board of Directors information allowing them to develop competitively balanced teams.  Held at the Oregon High School Fieldhouse  Board members do not participate in evaluations for their child(ren)’s age group(s).  Board policy on parents/guardians’ participation  Coach & Machine Pitch – Parents and Guardians may watch.  All Other Leagues – Please wait outside the Field House.

12 Skills Assessments Saturday, April 2 Pony League – 7 th Grade Only 8:30-9:30 Coach Pitch (A-L)- 9:30 (M-Z)- 10:15 Machine Pitch (A-L) – 11:15 (M-Z)- 12:00 Minor League (3 rd & 4 th grade): 1:00-2:00 Little League (5 th,6 th ): 2:00-3:00 Registration Players should arrive 10-15 minutes before their session begins.

13 T-Ball League Current 4K (5U) and Kindergarten Grade (6U) Practices and Games will be Saturday morning/early afternoons Practices May 14, May 21, and May 28 Games Start June 4 and end July 16 Played at the Oregon Middle School diamonds along with this year – Kiser and Statz Fields Rules Overview Use a softer style ball than a regular hard ball Half an inning is after everyone bats on one team

15 Coach Pitch League Current Kindergarten (6U) and 1st Grade (7U) Practices: 1-2 Practices per week Games Start in late May or early June; end in late July 1-2 Games per week  10 games  Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday Played at the Oregon Middle School diamonds Rules Overview  Use a softer ball than a regular hard ball  Tee after 5 coach pitches  Half an inning is after everyone bats on one team

16 Machine Pitch League Advanced 1 st Graders (7U) and 2 nd Graders (8U) Practices: 1-2 Practices per week Games Start in late May or early June; end in late July 1-2 Games per week  10 games  Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday Played at Kiser Field Rules Overview  Use a (RIF) Restricted In Flight ball  Strikeouts are allowed after 5 pitches  Half an inning is 3 outs

24 Pony League Current 7 th Grade (13U) Practices 1-2 per week Typically 2 games per week, Monday-Friday Games are against teams from surrounding communities. Travel to half the games. Bats -3 to -10 (weight minus length) Home games are played at Greenfield Park in Fitchburg.

25 Teener League Current 8 th Grade (14U) Practices 1-2 per week Typically 2 games per week, Monday-Friday Games are against teams from surrounding communities – Travel to half the games Bats -3 to -10 (weight minus length) Home games are played at Freshman (Faust)

27 Oregon Baseball Day at Miller Park  Join Oregon baseball community for Brewer game at Miller Park on April 24 vs Phillies at 1:10  Tickets are $28 in sections 110 and 111  Link is posted on Oregon Youth Baseball website to order tickets  Ticket sales will support the Oregon Panther HS team take on Madison East at Miller Park on May 5 at 2:00.

28 OYBL Hosted Tournaments 14U – 15U: June 17-19 11U – 13U: July 15-17 9U – 10U: July 22-24 Tournament administration Please consider volunteering to maintain fields and keep score. This is our major fundraiser and helps keep registration fees down. Sign up options will be sent out prior to tournaments. Watch for e-mails.
