An Olympic athlete for 2012

Olympic Events  Weightlifting was invented to test how strong people were in the olden days.  There are three types of weightlifting in the Olympics which are... Squat- is when you lift the weight over your head and do a squat.  Bench lift- is when you are lying down on a bench and you lift the weight over your head.  Dead lift- is when you lift the weight above your head from the ground. Patterson is competing in weightlifting

How He Trains HHe lifts 160 kg weights. HHe runs. HHe eats healthy food. HHe takes care of his body.

How old is Richie Patterson? Richie Patterson is 33!

Useful skills they use in Weightlifting I think they should keep up the lifting the weight up onto the bottom of your neck and then lift it up above their head instead of lifting the weight right over your head straight away.

Specialist equipment They use all this stuff in front of you.

Winnings Unfortunately Richie Patterson was unable to get a medal.
