Meningitis Meningitis is an inflammation of the membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord. High fever, headache, and stiff neck are common symptoms of meningitis in anyone over the age of 2 years. These symptoms can develop over several hours, or they may take 1 to 2 days. There are two types of meningitis.

Bacterial meningitis Early diagnosis and treatment are very important. Bacterial meningitis can be treated with a number of effective antibiotics. some forms of bacterial meningitis are contagious. spread from person to person through the exchange of respiratory and throat secretions.

Viral meningitis Viral infections are the most common cause of meningitis Viral meningitis is serious but rarely fatal in people with normal immune systems. Different viruses that cause viral meningitis are spread in different ways.

Meningitis

Tetanus Tetanus (lockjaw) is a serious disease that causes painful tightening of the muscles, usually all over the body. Irritability, muscle cramps, sore muscles, weakness, or difficulty swallowing are commonly seen. Any wound that results in a break in the skin should be cleaned with soap and running water. You can get a Tetanus shot.

Tetanus

MRSA MRSA stands for methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus This organism is known for causing skin infections in addition to many other types of infections. Boils, abscesses, sty's and many more. First-line treatment for mild abscesses is incision and drainage.
