How Gentlemen of 6-B went to Selbukhra mountain

Chapter 1 Once upon a time there lived Gentlemen of Skalistoye. And one day they decided to make a real Geographical trip to discover the mountain of Selbukhra.

The Gentlemen started their rising to the top of the mountain not far from the village of Prokhladnoye, Bakhchisaray, Crimea. They climbed, cheerfully and loudly reciting the poem by A.S.Pushkin “Uznik”, that is widely known as “I’m sitting behind the bars in the wet prison”. Nobody knows the reason they chose the poem. Perhaps they had recently learned it at school or may be the place was quite different from that sad one described in the famous poem. The Gentlemen happily breathed the fresh air of freedom and felt caressing touching of warm October sun. They were just in the middle of the incredibly beautiful inner range of the Crimean Mountains “ where only wind can walk and… The Gentlemen of Skalistoye”.

Chapter 2 Very soon after that the growing bodies of Gentlemen demanded some small snack. They found a cozy place and had the first halt.

Chapter 3 Far-seeing Gentlemen didn’t forget to orient themselves and to find out that the terminal point – the settlement of Nauchnyi – is to the south-east.

Chapter 4 On the top of Selbukhra Gentlemen discovered a watch- tower. With any doubt curious explorers immediately climbed up it to look around. Almost half of the Crimean Peninsular was laying below.

Our fearless girls!

We believed the boys were holding the ladder for our safety,

But they were just having a rest!!!!!!!!!!

It is a beautiful place!!!

Simferopol was seen in the north and Sevastopol – in the west

Chatyrdag Mountain was in the east and Yalta – in the south! (nobody knows why Emir is demonstrating his fist to Yalta)

Chapter 5 Here we had reached our goal – to see Crimea below like the palm of our hand. And everybody had one question: what should we do next? Nobody wanted to return home. All the Gentlemen longed for adventures and unexplored paths. After short discussion they took a decision - to follow the path that was clearly seen on the Yandex-map, along the plateau of Selbukhra to the west, and then go down the southern slope towards the outskirts of Nauchnyi. Gentlemen didn’t know what difficulties they would meet on their way. Of course, they had to refresh themselves.

We ate delicious Emir’s pasties

And here Gentlemen came to the southern slope of Selbukhra. They are looking a bit excited.

Chapter 6. Our descending. Suddenly our safe path turned into almost a vertical slope. It was a white limestone talus named “Gazoprovod vysokogo davleniya Bakhchisaray-Yalta”. It seemed to be about half a kilometer long. It looked extremely dangerous to walk down! But brave Gentlemen were not scared. They started descending.

Not for nervous!

Headmasters are not allowed to watch it!

Chapter 7. Surely the Gentlemen were instructed previously “How to plant your feet on the ground when your legs can’t stand upright”, and “What should you do when your teacher whistles 3 times, 3 times by 3 or simply shouts “Do drop on the ground! Quickly!”

You can see nice stones there

Chapter 8. Deep wood All the Gentlemen managed to climbed down. But just after that they found themselves in a deep wood. There were a lot of wild animals’ and aliens’ trails there.

Now you can see where we have descended from. Do you believe? But we did it!

Of course, we needed some food after such adventures. Especially taking into account that Emir still had his wonderful pasties.

As you can see everybody is alive, healthy and happy.

I hope you have already understood that this presentation is a hidden commercial of pasties made by Emir’s Mum.)))
