Created in 1990 and incorporated in 1996 Not-For-Profit Services 3 Local Government Areas Supports approximately 700 clients at any given time Delivers approximately 6000 services per fortnight Employs 170 staff Funded through the Department of Social Services, Ministry of Health and Family and Community Services Ageing, Disability and Homecare

Changes being made in social and political systems Increased competition Funding uncertainty required more efficient resource management Future business dependent on need to promote self as both provider of choice and employer of choice Acknowledgement of the various understandings held by clients in relation to what reform truly meant for them The need to support clients to understand the reality of service provision, staff management, legislative and organisational constraints Acknowledgment that our means of engaging staff was ineffectual and would be a barrier to managing reforms
