a proactive workforce & rehabilitation Agency Health Care Sector Council  The Nevada Health Care Sector Council, established in response to Nevada Senate Bill 239, convened at an inaugural meeting on November 16, 2010 with members beginning the work of identifying job training and education programs to best meet regional economic goals related to health care.  The 25 board members include major stakeholders representatives of Nevada’s health care, labor, education, business, and government sectors.  This Council is aided by a 17 member Advisory Council as well as 16 staff members from the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation, Workforce Connections, University of Nevada/Reno, and the Southern Nevada Medical Coalition.

a proactive workforce & rehabilitation Agency Manufacturing Sector Council  The Nevada Manufacturing Sector Council, established in response to Nevada Senate Bill 239, held an orientation meeting in January  The 10 Council members include major stakeholders representative of Nevada’s manufacturing, labor, education, business, and government sectors.  A second meeting on focused on Labor Market Information data was recently conducted.
