Do care plans note and take account of an individuals first language?  How are the patients language needs facilitated?  What resources are made available to them?  How do staff ensure that patients don’t become isolated? We focus on quality and safety – this highlights the importance of the Act to clinicians and those delivering care

Welsh Language Task Group 4 November 2010 DRIVING IMPROVEMENT THROUGH INDEPENDENT AND OBJECTIVE REVIEW 18 Policies and action plans clearly have their place – it is for the Boards of organisations to ensure that they are compliant with the Act in this respect. Our focus is on quality and safety - By driving the importance of language in relation to the delivery of quality and safe services we are ensuring that the Welsh Language Act is being embedded. We focus on quality and safety – this highlights the importance of the Act to clinicians and those delivering care
