Amend Purpose- To modify the motion that is under consideration Amendments are of 2 ranks- 1 st & 2 nd Rank Pertinent Facts: A 2nd is required It is debatable when the motion to which it applies is debatable A 1 st rank amendment may be amended by an amendment of the 2 nd rank Requires a Majority Vote May be reconsidered
