Success vs. Morals “Absolute power absolutely corrupts” ( In the Jobs movie, the people at the head of the banks knowingly ripped people off in order to make themselves more money. They gave out bad loans and sold products that were no good because they knew they’d get another step ahead. They were in it just for themselves, throwing anything and everything away they had been taught in terms of treating people fairly. “…the longer you’re on top…the easier it becomes to justify your lack of morals.” ( In Inside Job, “The Bubble” talks about the biggest financial bubble in history and how people got cheated in real estate in order for others to prosper.

Success vs. Money “This hang up about money has held too many of us back. So, in attempt to shed some light on this idea I will share with you what I have learned from my studies in personal growth, wealth and success from my mentors on this subject.” “For the love of money is the root of all evil” From the movie they showed how success could turn a person evil, once a person gets power and money it leaves them wanting more. The people in the movie, the bankers could not back up anything they were saying and it was proved they ripped people off for more money. There success turned them evil and helped them make money illegally. “ it is a sort of wooden gun to the people themselves.”_ civil disobedience All they do is play around up in the government and not do there jobs by regulating the banks.

Success vs. Significance “I believe “success” can be a very dangerous thing in a vacuum…You see, success is in the eye of the beholder, whereas significance is a view of you that is held by others. Complicating matters further, I believe few successful people actually make the transition to significance, but every person of significance is successful.” Success is what people make it and the people in the government are turning success into something evil! They are using it to make money off of the people they hurt and put in debt. They use thee success to make there money and they don’t just hurt the people its hurting america. “it is not desirable to cultivate a respect for the law,”- civil disobedience The people are not respecting the law and they don’t care who they hurt or how many laws they brake as long as they make money they are happy.

Success vs Happiness Successful people are often anxious, dissatisfied, driven, motivated and discontent. However, these are the exact emotions that drie them to be more successful. Qhat if you woke up tomorrow and the only things remaining in your life were the tings you thanked God for today? In the movie, these people did everything they could to be successful, they destroyed their jobs reputation, they destroyed peoples lives. But in the end the were motivated and determined. In civil disobedince, people tried to make others happy and show them how to do that.
