Open CETL HEFCE funded initiative Collective of 4 centres, –Centre for Open Learning of Mathematics, Science, computing and Technology (COLMSCT CETL) –Personalised Integrated Learning Support (PILS CETL) –Physics Innovations Centre for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (pi CETL) –Practice-Based Professional Learning Centre for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (PBPL CETL )

PBPL CETL Collaboration between 4 Open University faculties; Health & Social Care Education & Language Studies The Business School Institute of Educational Technology Promoting better understanding and use of PBPL and giving learners wider access to excellent PBPL opportunities

PBPL CETL cont/ Generation of ‘practice-learning topics’ (PLTs) through funded projects and investigations and special interest groups Repository of resources in 5 PBPL-related areas; –Assessing practice-based learning –Building professional identity –Developing practice learning materials –Encouraging reflection –Learning in communities Dissemination through events and publication as well as engaging with key stakeholder communities
