Probation Key Change – Hours Restriction: Key Change – Hours Restriction: –Students will be limited to 15 hours of course work for fall and spring and 9 for summer including UN 098 Academic Recovery –Limited hours [12 for fall and spring and 6 for summer] will continue until the cumulative MUW GPA is 2.0 or better

Suspension Key Change (S1) Key Change (S1) –An alternate to suspension will be offered to all Suspension 1 students. –Students will be required to enroll in a non- credit UN 099 course (Turning Point) and will be restricted to a maximum of 9 additional credit hours (total 12 hours) during the fall or spring or 6 hours of credit courses for the summer. –Support for SI students will continue under the supervision of the Early Alert Coordinator, CAE –Students who choose not to participate will be suspended for one semester (as in previous policy)

Suspension S2 and S3 – No Substantial Changes S2 and S3 – No Substantial Changes –S2: A one-year suspension will be enforced for continuing or returning Suspension 1 students who do not maintain a semester GPA of 2.0 higher. –S3: A three-year suspension will be enforced for returning Suspension 2 students who do not maintain a semester GPA of 2.0 higher. –Readmission to the University after either the 2 nd or the 3 rd suspension period would require the approval of the Scholastic Appeals committee. The committee may set conditions for enrollment.

Suspension Key Change (S4) Key Change (S4) –Previously S4 was set for five calendar years –Now: Suspension 3 students who do not maintain a semester GPA of 2.0 or better will be dismissed from the University. –Students may be readmitted after a 4 th Suspension after a four-year period; Students encouraged to consider Academic Fresh Start
