11/13/07 J. MooneCenter for Professional Development2  When you first open Word 2007, Excel 2007, PowerPoint 2007, and Access 2007, you'll see a lot that's familiar, such as your Word document or Excel worksheet. But you'll also notice a new look at the top of the window.  The old look with menus and toolbars has been replaced by the Ribbon at the top of the window. The Ribbon contains tabs that you click to get to the commands you already know how to use. And once you learn how to use the Ribbon in one program, you'll find it easy to use in other programs.  The Microsoft Office Button image is new. This button takes the place of the File menu in several Office programs.  New keyboard shortcuts.  New file formats for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access  The ability to save as a PDF document What are some of the new features?
