 What info is ok to share online?  Pics of friends/family (with their permission)  Casual conversations during online games  What is NOT ok to share online?  Passwords, home address, location, cell number, address  What are the risks of sharing too much info?  Identity theft, online scams, hacking, stalking

 Know who you are communicating with online  Don’t add someone you don’t know to your social media accounts  Don’t give out personal info (address; places you go when not in school)  Don’t agree to meet someone you met online  People may not always be who they seem

 Use strong passwords (don’t share with others); password protect your cell phone  Edit privacy settings on social media (set limits on who sees your info)  Remove identifying info from pics/video  Don’t post location  Avoid ‘handles’ with identifying info

 Don’t write back; trolling  Block the person bothering you  Save the evidence (take screen shots/pics)  Tell an adult you trust (teacher, coach, principal)  Report issue to website where bullying is occurring
