CHAPTER 4 - CLARIFICATIONS PA is not requiring to utilize a statewide curriculum or reading lists PA will not participate in the development of a national assessment (unless for Special Education) PA will not expand collection of student and personal family data due to implementation of the standards 3

Waivers for 12 th grade May be granted for not completing a PBA - Superintendent Extenuating circumstances – Secretary Waiver Process If more than 10% of seniors did not complete a PBA: Submit to Secretary no later than 10 days prior to graduation Submit action plan of improvements to each waived course 11
