11 Chapter 4 Updates 11  Web application meets all requirements for Chapter 4 revisions  Plans that are required for submittal to PDE MUST use the web application  Plans not required for submittal to PDE can choose own format  Within the Instructions for each section, the web application indicates required components in red text

12 ESSA Updates 12 Current waiver still in place; business as usual for 2016-2017 New ESSA plans will start 17-18 school year Preliminary list of “at-risk” schools will be pulled to notify schools this fall: Formula being drafted now Achievement will be based on 14-15 PSSA scores Growth based on PVAAS data Comprehensive Support and Intervention Schools (CSI) Lowest 5% of Title I schools Identify these schools at least once every three years All public (Title I and non-Title I) high schools where the graduation rate is 67% or less Targeted Support Schools (TSI) Title I or non-Title I schools where subgroup students are struggling (N count not determined yet) - ED, race, ELL, IEP

14 14 Web Application- Getting Started  Have an account on the PDE portal  Two Administrator roles are needed to set up Initial Access to the Comp Plan web application: a) Local Security Administrator: Top-level users, responsible for the overall security of the Education Portal for their institution b) Local Administrator: has the ability to add users who can access the Comp Plan web application  Identify roles of registered users  Viewer (can view)  Author (can edit)  Planning Leader (can edit, check plan for issues, and submit) http://compplanning.wiki.caiu.org/LSAs+for+Comp+Plan

36 Obtaining Approval Resubmission time… Workflow upon submission – Submit – Reviewer (IU Executive Director) receives notification your plan was submitted – IU Executive Director reviews plan (approves or asks for revisions) – IU Executive Director signs plan and submits to generate an archived version
