IONAS Addendum proposal THE CONTEXT In the INTERACT Programme there are further ERDF Funds to be allocated in Priority 3 Measure 2 “Cooperation at the external borders” In this framework, IONAS is submitting a project addendum to implement new Actions

New Action 1 International Conference Perspectives on the new Objective 3 European Territorial Cooperation Aims: - a deeper knowledge of the New Objective 3 Territorial Cooperation and its links to the European Neighbourhood and Partnership instrument - a space for the elaboration of new structured proposals for the improvement of the Objective 3 impact on the European territory. Expected Results: -Bringing information and awareness to the the participants, especially those coming from New Member States and Neighbouring Countries on the new policies and objectives of EU Programming

New Action 2 Euro Project Management: Online Training Course Tentative Programme 1. PRINCIPLES OF STRUCTURAL FUNDS MANAGEMENT -New Cohesion Policy and the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument -New Structural Funds, political and practical implications -The Project Cycle Management and Logical Framework - Development of project ideas (feasibility) and partnerships given the the frame of reference of the new programmes and objectives - 2. PRACTICAL ASPECTS OF TERRITORIAL COOPERATION PROJECTING AND MANAGEMENT Supporting documents - Fund raising strategies - New procedures for project management. Methodology - eLearning platforms - training for officers of the IONAS cities and port authorities who deal with, or will deal with the new Territorial Cooperation Objective and the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument

IONAS Addendum proposal Partnership enlargement : 2 new partners Port of Koper, Slovenia working in close connection with the City of Koper and the Euro Info Centre Koper, its involvement confirms the IONAS aim of linking the cities and their ports in a platform for dialogue and cooperation AICCRE - Italian Association of the Council of European Municipalities and Regions It will contribute to the IONAS activities developing the on line training course on European Project Management

IONAS Addendum proposal Project Duration Extension Project original duration: 30 months (May to October ). Project extension: 5 months, from November 2006 to March 2007, in order to include the organisation of an International Conference devoted to the perspectives of the Structural Funds. Change in the original project meetings calendar, which would therefore be rearranged as follows: International Conference: approximately February/April 2006 Third IONAS project meeting: Koper, May 2006 Project Final Conference: December 06 / January 2007
