Club History not well / fully documented Club has in the past played a big part in the social history of Grays and the borough 120 th Anniversary of GAFC next season Ground lease is to expire and club maybe forced to move out of the borough therefore direct links will be “lost” Increase community awareness of Grays Athletic Deliverables will leave a tangible long term legacy for supporters and the community as a whole

Content will be created from the following; Hiring of Archive Researcher External Companies / Individuals with commercial content Involvement of Local Schools to research GAFC history Audio and Video recording of History Ex Players and the Community Trust Members and Supporters of GAFC (and the club itself) Resources required; Video Equipment to record Club History (interviews fans and community) Funds required to purchase and edit old video footage Funds required to purchase where and when available significant artefacts (especially pre War)...programmes, medals etc

6 GAFC 1890 Trust – Heritage Lottery Fund Application The “Complete” GAFC History A comprehensive book to be published covering the following; Written History of GAFC (20%) GAFC and it’s involvement in the Community (15%) Classic Matches (15%) Club Honours and Statistics (40%) Full Results and Tables Player Profiles Photographs(10%) Resources required; Archive Researcher, Publishing advice Target Timelines; Book to be published July 2011 (and include 120 th anniversary)

7 GAFC 1890 Trust – Heritage Lottery Fund Application Websites To make freely available where possible all content that has been created for use as a research resource the follow will be required; Dedicated GAFC 1890 Trust History Website including; Static Content Photographs Audio Video Wiki Full Results and Match Statistics to be available graysath-online Resources required; Web Site, Domain, Hosting Services, Web Site Owners, Archive Researcher Target Timelines; New Website live for August 2010 and content updates ongoing

11 GAFC 1890 Trust – Heritage Lottery Fund Application GAFC 1890 History Display Module It is proposed that the Display Module is used in the follow manner giving the community the greatest opportunity to view; Housed at GAFC (Cross Bar Lounge) Aug – Oct 2010 Schools are invited to tour this during the week Open on Match Days Housed at Thurrock Museum Nov – Feb 2011 (this can include moving it other venues within the borough of Thurrock) Re Housed at GAFC (Cross Bar Lounge) Mar – July 2011 Eventually re housed at the New GAFC Stadium in a dedicated area

12 GAFC 1890 Trust – Heritage Lottery Fund Application Time Capsule This will involve the burial of a time capsule under the centre circle at The New Recreation Ground; To be included in this will be; Content input from local schools Content input from fans and supporters of GAFC Book & DVD of content that has been completed as part of this project Resources required; Capsule Target Timelines; Ceremony July 2011* (thus ending the 120 th anniversary year) * there should be a future provision for the capsule to dug up if the The Rec is developed for housing and have it re laid in the foundations
