Education for all is an international initiative to put kids everywhere into a primary or secondary school. Also to achieve 6 specific education goals. What is Education for All? Credits to The World Bank

1. Make early childhood care and education larger for everyone everywhere 2. Provide a free primary education for all 3. Promote learning and life skills for kids, teenagers, and adults 4. Increase adults being able to read by 50% 5. Achieve gender parity by 2005, gender equality by Improve the overall quality of education The Six Education Goals

Batonga Foundation Supporting Education for Girls in Africa Batonga is giving girls a secondary school and higher education so they can take the lead in changing Africa. We are doing this by granting scholarships, building secondary schools, increasing enrollment, improving teaching standards, providing school supplies, supporting mentor programs, exploring alternative education models and advocating for community awareness of the value of education for girls. Lawrence Middle School’s Kenya Krew, led by teacher Karen Weiner have continued working toward their goal of providing a new library for the Ayany Primary School in Nairobi. To date, the group has raised approximately $5,000, and hopes to reach the $15,000 needed in order for the library to be built. The Kenya Krew collect used cell phones, print cartridges, laptops, DVDs, etc. for their ongoing electronics recycling fundraiser. Past projects have included a friendship bracelet sale, car wash, and defensive driving course. Additionally, the group has a pen-pal program well underway with the students at the Ayany Primary School. Kenya Krew members have written and received individual letters, and also created group cards and banners around the holidays. Kenya Krew
