Weight Room Rules

1. Safety is first!

2. You must be accompanied by an OHHS PE teacher or coach in order to use the weight room.

3. No food or drink is allowed in the weight room.

4. All equipment is to be returned to its proper place after use: - Stack all 35 & 45 pound plates neatly on the floor. - All other plates are racked on weight trees with like weights pound dumbbells are racked on the side rack pound dumbbells are racked on the front rack in order. - Curl bars and barbells are put in their racks or benches.

5. No playing around in the weight room.

6. The entire group is responsible to make sure the room is clean before being dismissed.

7. Proper athletic shoes and clothing must be worn at all times.

8. Non-dressers will sit to the side out of the way of those working out.

9. Notify your teacher or coach immediately if equipment is broken or damaged.

10. Do not bang or drop weights.

11. Use proper safety practices collars, spotters, weight belts, etc. – at all times.
