Focusing Questions What is iTeach? What is a technology rich classroom environment? How can we use professional development resources that are available via the iTeach Web site and mechanisms for information sharing?

Framing The Session Participants will access the agendas and PowerPoint presentations for each session on the 21 Century Professional Development Web site. Participants will access The Innovative Educator Web site which provides a place for collaborative discussions. You will be invited to join the 21 Century Educator group.

Teaching Step 1 – Access and download Session 1 Agenda and Presentation from 21CPD.21CPD Step 2 – Explore The Innovative Educator Web site.The Innovative Educator Step 3 – Check that your NYCDOE Microsoft Outlook account is active.NYCDOE Microsoft Outlook

Guided Practice Now it is your turn. Access the 3 Web sites. Start with the 21CPD site.

Work Time

Getting Started The 21CPD Web site will provide you with an outline of each of the 16 sessions for this course. We will learn how to use different features in the DOE Microsoft Outlook account for a future session. The Innovative Educator Web site will provide you with a collaborative discussion portal. Check your account for an invitation to join a discussion group. Accept the invitation. Join the discussion thread.
