Don’t touch them anywhere! The poison is in their skin! Yikes! Take The Following Precautions: Be AWARE of your surroundings. Do NOT pick up any brightly colored insect, animal, or amphibian. Bright colors are a warning system for potential predators. Only 2 micrograms (the amount that could fit on the head of a pin) of the poison found in the Poison Dart Frog is capable of killing a human or other large mammals!

Ugly things will happen if you touch them! Symptoms and Signs that you touched one: Muscle contractions.Vomiting.Violent convulsions.Irregular heart beat.Heart failure.Death.

Oh No! It got you! What now? Recommended First Aid: No effective treatment exists.Find a comfy spot to lay down.You’re probably going to die. A chemical found in a puffer fish might have the potential to reverse the effects of the poison. Sadly, you’re in the rainforest. Where will you find a puffer fish?
