Baruch’s Consolation – Jer. 45 Instead of taking that cushy, quiet, princely job in Jerusalem, Baruch has taken the more dangerous job as scribe for the unpopular prophet Jeremiah. The very suffering through which Baruch passes because of his loyalty to God gained him honor beyond anything he could have anticipated Baruch’s Seal

Like Baruch, We Also... Are Privileged to Suffer – Phil 1:29 – “For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake.” – 1 Tim 4:10 – “we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God” Are Privileged to Have God With Us Always – 2 Tim 1:12 – “for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” – Matthew 1:23 – “and they shall call His name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is ‘God with us.’”
