2 “ Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus,” (Rom. 8:1) A. This is a promise for believers. B. There is NO condemnation for believers. C. There IS condemnation for non-believers. “ Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.” (John 3:18 NIV)

3 “ I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.” (Rom. 8:18 NIV) A. Believing in Christ brings loss. B. Believing in Christ brings persecution. C. The believers’ glorification makes it all worthwhile. D. There are three phases to salvation: justification, sanctification, glorification.

4 “ But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. 8 What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ.” (Phil. 3:7-8 NIV)

5 “ For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 8:38-39 NIV) A. God has revealed His love to us in Christ.

6 B. God’s love is special. (agape love) 1. Sacrificial love 2. Unconditional love C. God’s love is indestructible. 1. No force can overcome it. 2. No spiritual force or being can destroy it. 3. We are bound to Christ with the bonds of love.
