NCEA Level 3 – Design 2008

Design is a practical and theoretical course in which you will explore and develop ideas thematically. Design involves producing creative and innovative design solutions in two or three dimensions. You will work with Design briefs that involve research, the generation of creative ideas, and production of finished artwork, some of which will be computer based. You need the ability to think and work independently and the creativity to generate and re-generate ideas in the making of art-works. Drawing and the ability to communicate ideas visually are essential to this course. Design is both internally and externally assessed.

Authenticity: Your teacher needs to know that all the work you have handed in is your own work Please refer to your assessment handbook for further explanation of authenticity and the relevant procedures you must complete Missed Assessments or not Meeting Deadlines: It is important to hand all assignments in on time. Please refer to your assessment handbook, for the relevant procedures you must complete should you miss an assessment or deadline. Appeals: You are able to appeal assessment decisions. Please refer to your assessment handbook for the relevant procedures you must complete. Your HOD is your first point of contact for these processes. ASSESSMENT
