Your core is located at the very center of your body and it can also be known as the your base. There are many muscles in your core such as oblique's, upper, and lower abs.

Many stretches and exercises can help you increase core strength and help you get that ripped body you’ve always wanted. the most popular exercises are crunches, sit ups, trunk twists, and work on an ab balls. Other types of exercises like Pilates and Yoga can increase not only your strength in core but also your flexibility.

To decrease chance of injury you should always stretch before performing an exercise. Even if you are just trying to increase your core strength you should always stretch your whole body.
