Christmas Around the World !

In Germany, Kristkind brings presents to children. Decorating the Christmas tree originated from Germany.

In Sweden, children make sweet cakes to share and then dress up with a hat made from candles.

Hanukkah began in Israel and is celebrated by lighting candles on a menorah and playing the dreidyl game.

In America, Turkey, and many other countries, Santa Clause brings presents to children.

Hanging of Christmas stockings originates from Greece.

In England people drink wassail and sing carols from house to house.

Las Posadas is a Christmas celebration from Mexico. People walk in a procession to pretend to look for a place to stay….to celebrate the birth of Jesus.
