Advertisements A 500 year old necklace, a missing diamond, you’ll find yourself in suspense until you find it. The pages leave you hanging between the diamond and Shakespeare's real secret. If you like drama, friendship, mystery, and historic jewelry, then this is the book for you!

Summary Shakespeare’s Secret by Elise Broach is about a girl named Hero and her family and how they just moved into the Murphy diamond house. When Hero meets her neighbor Mrs. Roth she finds out that there is a 500 year old diamond missing in her house and it is up to her to find it. Through Mrs. Roth she meets Daniel (otherwise known as Danny.) Anyway when Hero’s parents leave to go to some auction Danny comes over and helps Hero find the diamond. Well, they found it but it was in a place you would never imagine a diamond would be hidden. If you want to know more then you will have to read the book.

Plot Hero and her family move into the Murphy diamond house. Hero meets Mrs. Roth. Hero finds out about the diamond. Hero meets Danny and becomes good friends with him. Hero and Danny find the diamond. Some surprising and shocking things happen but I can’t tell you, so you will just have to read the book.

Setting This book takes place in Maryland. There are 3 different places Ogden Elementary School The Murphy diamond house ( A.K.A Hero’s new house.) Mrs. Roth’s house

THEME Theme One theme for this book would be… Nothing ever turns out to be what you expect. The reason I think this would be one theme is because in the book there are a lot of exciting things that happen but they never turn out the way the characters thought they would. THEME
