National and International projects play an important role in improving the quality of vocational and technical education. Therefore, our Ministry have been implementing a great number of projects with such countries and institutions as EU, the World Bank, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Slovakia and also with some leading institutions and organizations in Turkey with the following aims;  To develop educational programmes,  To train technical teachers both in Turkey and abroad,  To transfer new technologies to schools,  To equip the laboratory and workshops at schools,  To provide funding in addition to the general budget. The project started its activities on 30 September Total period of the Project is 5 years; the first six months is the beginning and the rest 4,5 years is the implementation period. GENERAL AIM  To improve the quality of VET at secondary level in Turkey through establishment and implementation of National Qualifications System,  Strengthening of public institutions, social partners and organizational capacities of the enterprises at national, regional and local levels,  Speeding-up the localization of the system through encouraging the participation of the local role players in the reform process. MONITORING VOCATIONAL EDUCATION GRADUATES Education-Employment and Monitoring Graduates Centre was established in EARGED.(Department of Educational Research &Development) The Project was started with the aim of;  Monitoring the graduates in 2002, 2003 and 2004 systematically,  Determining their employment,  Analyzing the data obtained,  Determining the strong and weak aspects of educational system,  Determining the conformity of educational system with the work life,  Strengthening the relation of education with employment,  Improving the educational programmes in line with the demands, In order to realize the above-mentioned targets, pilot implementations were planned at 63 vocational and technical high schools in 24 provinces chosen within the context of the SVET Project. In addition, a webpage “ was prepared for the use of students, graduates, schools and employers.
