Group leaders need to know : –how to recognise potential leadership –how to nurture their potential. Leaders should consult with their own personal mentors and leaders’ group Identify, affirm, develop and use the new potential leader’s gifts, provide needed support and ongoing mentoring The emerging leader will be given increasing responsibilities –a potential leader first needs to learn to serve be affirmed and endorsed as an apprentice leader
