Before you convert to PDF… Format document to adhere to ETD standards Title page: follow sample Abstract page: after title page, no page # Table of Contents, Lists of Figures and Tables Margins Page Numbering Figure and Table Captions No blank or missing pages

Convert document to PDF – MS Word and Acrobat: Acrobat > Create PDF – LaTeX: LaTeX -> dvips -> ps2pdf If using Acrobat, enhance PDF – Bookmarks – Hyperlinks – Document Properties – Page Numbering for Adobe Reader navigation Optimize PDF: File > Save As
