COMMUNICATING HAZARDS “Who” instructs worker’s to install protection? Is it the Cabinet’s role? How do we convey that message? To whom?? Imminent Danger? Stop Work?

Imminent Danger ".....any conditions or practices in any place of employment which are such that a danger exists which could reasonably be expected to cause death or serious physical harm immediately or before the imminence of such danger can be eliminated through the enforcement procedures otherwise provided by this Act."

Construction Guidance Manual STATES “If…the Resident Engineer or a member of the crew observes construction practices with recognized hazards, the practice in question shall be reported immediately to the Contractors’ Competent person on the project.”

COMPETENT PERSON A person with authorization and expertise to identify existing or predictable hazards, and responsible for elimination of such hazards through the use of PPE, engineering controls, administration controls, and etc…
