Who were the Vikings ? The Vikings were people who wanted more land because theirs wasn’t good enough. The tradition was when your dad died the eldest son would have all his land, and the youngest son would have to find some other land. Vikings, also known as Danes, came from Scandinavia (Norway,Sweden and Denmark.)

What were there daily jobs like? The Vikings daily jobs were: Weaving – so that some of the villagers had clothes or blankets. Farming- so there was food. Craftsmen – they would not have any land so they would trade some of their food/other goods.

What did they wear The Vikings wore… Men Men wore a tunic, trousers and shoes Women Women wore a long dress and kind of long apron. Their clothes were made out of wool, animal skin and linen. Children helped make the clothes by weaving (they were very clever at weaving).

What did they eat? Meat vegetables.Lamb. Squirrel.beef. deer.mutton. elk.pork. goat.horse. bear. reindeer.carrots. beats.parsnips. onions.turnips. Leeks.celery.peas.mushrooms.cabbage.radish

What were their longboats like ? Vikings used longboats to travel around on the water, they were made out of wood and some bits of metal. They were sea vessels and were made and used by the Vikings from the Nordic countries to trade. One of their well know longboats were made in Dublin.
