Our Job in Ancient Egypt Our job is being slaves. We live in our owners house. We men wear skirts called a kilt and the women wear straight fitting dresses held up by straps. We build our owners houses of sun dried mud made of bricks and straw. We are poor people.
Slaves We have to wake up early in the morning and clean whatever the owner wants us to do and work all day. We have to work in the farms or wherever our owner needs us all day. Our Job is terrible because we have no rights and we get no free time.
Farmers Our job is being farmers in Ancient Egypt. We live next to our huge fields. We wear short kilts made of coarse linen with sandals made of reeds. We wear cloaks, shawls, tunics, and fur clothing in winter.
Our Job We use scoops, sickles and plows. We are poor people but if we own the farm then we wealthy. We live in houses made of mud bricks. We have to go to work very early and come home late in the afternoon and then we go to eat and sleep. Our job is important because we grow food for the pharaoh and the people.
Merchants My job is being a merchant. I live in the town. I sell different things across the Nile such as clothing, food, spices, and tools. I travel by boat across the Nile to sell my things. I am not a rich or poor person.

We are important because many people do not know how to write so being a scribe is a good career.

The vizier is another word for government official. We are the chief ministers of Egypt and only answer to the pharaoh. Our job is important because we keep everything under control and keep the pharaoh safe.
MY JOB IN ANCIENT EGYPT I have a tall sharp stick which has gold. I live in a palace in the capital called Memphis in Egypt. I am the richest person because I am the pharaoh.
PHARAOH I rule everyone. I wear a crown shaped like an oval on my head representing both Upper and Lower Egypt. I wear fine gold clothes. My job is important because I have to take care of Egypt and its people.
Queen Hatshepsut My job is to be Queen Hatshepsut. My home is the palace. What I wear every day is leather sandals and white linen dresses. I also wore men's clothes too when my husband had died.
My Job I support my husband. I have a lot of expensive things to trade with people to pay them for their work. When my husband died I took over because my son was too young but when my son was old enough I didnt want him to take my place. I died mysteriously.
