3 Viking Blacksmiths Viking blacksmiths made weapons for warriors and amulets that represented their gods.

4 Viking gods Vikings believed that their gods lived in a giant city in the sky surrounded by a wall called Asgard. They also had different gods such as Loki the trickster god, Thor the god of thunder, Odin the god of wisdom and Freya the goddess of love. There was a rainbow bridge that divided the mortal world from asgard.

5 Viking raids Vikings raided towns and cities to steal their gold and valuables'.They burned down houses and killed anybody who came out. They would take some people as slaves but might chuck them out to sea if the boat was too heavy.

6 VIKING WEAPONS Vikings had a large range of weapons. There were long range weapons such as bows and arrows, and short range weapons such as maces, axes and swords. Some Vikings even used torches as short range weapons.

7 Viking transport Vikings used long boats to travel over seas. They had animal heads carved into the front of the ship to frighten their enemies.

8 Viking villages Viking villages were places were Vikings lived in groups. They built homes and farms from wood and straw.

9 Valhalla Vikings believed that if they did not die in battle they would go to Valhalla. Valhalla was the Viking name for hell.

10 Viking food Vikings did not have the same food that we have today. They did not have chips, cakes or doughnuts. What they did have was things like wild boar,deer,seal and bear.

11 Viking farms On Viking farms the Vikings would raise animals for their milk, eggs and other products. But if in the winter there was not enough food the animals would be killed for their meat.

12 Viking pets Vikings had the same pets as us. They had pets such as dogs and cats.

13 Viking burials When Vikings where buried there bodies were placed in a circle of stones.The circle was in the shape of a boat because Vikings believed that a way to travel in the after life was in a boat. If the Viking was rich enough they would be buried in a real boat.

14 Viking clothes Vikings wore a variety of different clothes. One thing that most Viking men wore was a cape. They wore trousers, tops and shoes made from wool, linen and animal skin.
