+ JOURNAL WRITE “An exchange student from the Philippines is coming to stay with your family for a month. You go to the airport to pick her up and need to describe yourself to her so that she can find you in the crowd at the airport. In 2-3 sentences, how would you describe yourself?”

+ Terms to Be Familiar with Write these down below your description “Characteristics” are the general category of descriptions. Eg. (height, eye color, etc.) “traits” are the precise description of an individual’s characteristics. Eg. (5’2”, blue eyes, etc.).

+ Human Trait Survey Work individually to fill out the survey based on your own traits. After you have completed the survey record your results by placing tally marks on the board. As other students complete their surveys copy the classes results on the column labeled class data on your sheet of paper.

+ Graphing the Class Data Take out a separate sheet of paper to compete additional Histograms Using the Class data pick 4 traits to which you will create a histogram Write a two sentences that help you to draw conclusions about the data.
