Program for Austrian Students in October Oct. 3-5Arrive in New York City. Please refer to your itinerary arranged by Cool Tours for details on your stay and planned activities while in New York City. Oct. 6Transfer to Virginia Check out of your hotel at noon and board a coach bus for your transfer to your host community in Virginia. Meet up with your host families at Chantilly High School at 6 pm. Oct. 7 Washington, DC Meet at your assigned school and travel to DC for the day. Students from Westfield will be shuttled to the Stone Road Park & Ride Station to board a bus at 7:30 am to Vienna Metro. Students from Chantilly HS will take a bus at 7:35 am to Vienna Metro. Start at Arlington Cemetery where America’s war veterans are honored. Then cross Memorial Bridge to tour the Lincoln, Korean, Vietnam & World War II Memorials. Chantilly hosted students will return to Franklin Farm Shopping Center at 5:44 pm; Westfield hosted students will return to Stone Road P&R at 5:38 pm and Sully Station P&R at 6:13 pm Oct. 8Washington, DC Meet at your assigned school and travel to DC for the day. Students from Westfield will be shuttled to the Stone Road Park & Ride Station to board a bus at 7:30 am to Vienna Metro. Students from Chantilly HS will take a bus at 7:35 am to Vienna Metro. Spend the day visiting the American, and Natural History Museums Enjoy some free time on the Mall and end the day with a stroll by the White House for photos. Chantilly hosted students will return to Franklin Farm Shopping Center at 5:44 pm; Westfield hosted students will return to Stone Road P&R at 5:38 pm and Sully Station P&R at 6:13 pm Oct. 9School Visit Day Spend the day at your respective host schools shadowing your hosts from class to class to experience life in an American high school.

Program for Austrian Students in October Oct Free Days with Host Families Oct. 13Baltimore, Maryland. Meet at your respective high schools and board a bus to take you to Baltimore for the day to experience a different type of city. The bus will pick up students from Westfield at 7:15 am and then Chantilly HS at 7:40 am. Start at Ft. McHenry where the Battle of 1812 was fought. Then to Camden Yards for a 10 am tour of the stadium where the professional baseball team plays. End your day with a visit to the National Aquarium. Return to Chantilly HS at 7 pm, and Westfield HS at 7:20 pm Oct. 14Washington, DC Meet at your assigned school and travel to DC for the day. Students from Westfield will be shuttled to the Stone Road Park & Ride Station to board a bus at 7:30 am to Vienna Metro. Students from Chantilly HS will take a bus at 7:35 am to Vienna Metro. Spend your final day in Washington, DC with a visit to the U.S. Capitol and then some time afterwards to visit the Air & Space Museum. If time permits, swing by the Hard Rock Café for a souvenir and some refreshments. Chantilly hosted students will return to Franklin Farm Shopping Center at 5:44 pm; Westfield hosted students will return to Stone Road P&R at 5:38 pm and Sully Station P&R at 6:13 pm Oct. 15:Return to New York/Flight Home to Austria Meet in the parking lot of Chantilly Regional Library at 6:30 am where you will board a bus to JFK Airport in New York City.
