WHAT TO PACK You can bring snack food with you, however, you are responsible for seeing that the bus is clean at the end of day. Pack your lunch or bring money to purchase your lunch. All bags and purses are searched before entering museums. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. School dress policy still applies!

CONTACT INFORMATION Teachers will give each chaperone their cell phone number in case of emergency. Chaperones will be required to give teachers cell phone numbers. Lost students should go to steps of National Gallery of Art. Teachers should be notified of any students missing IMMEDIATELY!

DEPARTURE INFORMATION Arrive in DC by 10:00 AM. Drop off at Air & Space Museum upon arrival. Pick up at National Gallery of Art at 3:15 PM. Leaving DC at 3:30 PM.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION Due to the short amount of time in DC, we are asking that everyone stay in the Mall area. Please do not leave the area via underground train, cab or bus.

BUS BEHAVIOR Safety traveling to and from Washington DC is a priority. Students will NOT be allowed to: roam up and down the aisle play in the bathroom lean over the seats Students should use inside voices on the bus out of respect for the other passengers and driver. Please help the teachers with this!!

BEHAVIOR Remember, this is a school sponsored field trip, so school rules apply.

SUGGESTED SITES Air & Space Museum National Museum of the American Indian American History Museum Natural History Museum National Gallery of Art Capitol Washington Monument Lincoln Memorial Vietnam Veterans Memorial Korean War Memorial World War II Memorial White House

STUDENT ASSIGNMENT We want everyone to enjoy their visit to DC. However, students will have an assignment. They will be required to write a short paper in class based on their favorite place or thing they saw. Students should collect free brochures from museums and exhibits.

IMPORTANT DATES & COST We must have a minimum of 13 chaperones attend for each class (one adult for two students). However, each bus has 55 seats available and with 27 students per class and one teacher, that leaves 27 seats available. This puts the cost between $37 and $45 per person. If we do not have enough parents or some parents do not sign up, we will be able to allow more than one parent per child. Please let us know if you and your child will be attending by January 28 so that a final cost can be determined. Payment for the field trip may be done in installments. Final payment is due by April 15. Refunds will not be provided. Please visit your child’s teacher’s signup genius page for more information.
