How can I start & grow a beautiful lawn?

Location/Original Characteristics Its located at Adam’s house in one of his lots 1.Its about 100ft long by 70 ft in width. 2.There is no grass I just finished disking it. 3.The only water it is able to have is when it rains. 4.It has moderate traffic.

Soil Charicteristics The soil characteristics are as follows 1. The soil is moderately coarse. 2.The ph level is about inches soil depth 4.Its mainly flat 5.There is a hill in the middle of the lot, but there is no trees near it at all.

Seeds to plant I will use the seed Kentucky bluegrass 1.It fits to my soil characteristics, of moderately coarse, no slope. 2.Its fairly cheap, 1-3lbs per 1000sq ft., we will need about 2.5 lbs of seeds. It cost $10 for the seed to plant that area. I will buy it from the homedepot. 3.It also can take wear and tear, it will recover fast.

Ground preparation To prepare the ground I am going to…. 1.I will disk it to bring up the nutrients from lower soil. 2.I will wet the soil a little bit so it’s damp. 3.Plant and water the seeds. 4.I will plant the seeds about quarter of an inch in the ground.

Maintenance I will do the following to my lawn. 1.I will water it when it needs it. 2.I will mow it when it needs it. 3.I will spray the weeds with herbicide ( if/when it grows weeds)

Fertilizer I will use “Scott’s Turf Builder” For greener and thicker lawn Can be applied to any type of lawn I will apply it when it starts growing in early spring and when it stops growing in late fall.

Irrigation I would install an irrigation system before I planted my seeds. It will cost about 3,000 to 4,000 for installation and to buy the equipment It would be less expensive to install an irrigation system. I will turn on the irrigation system when the seeds need it.

Conclusion We are going to plant to plant Kentucky Bluegrass. At Adam’s house. Its 100ft long by 70ft wide The soil is moderate coarse Kentucky Bluegrass is cheap Its very common in America

Conclusion We will disk the ground to make sure we got all the lumps out We will damp the soil so the seeds will have and easier time growing We will install and irrigation system so they will get water and a dry arid day. Thanks for listening
