Quality Education for a Healthier Scotland Psychology Promoting Excellence Framework for all health and social services staff working with people with dementia, their families and carers 4 Levels of Knowledge & Skills Dementia Informed Practice – baseline K&S required by all staff working in health and social care settings including the person’s own home Dementia Skilled Practice – K&S required by all staff that have direct and/or substantial contact with PwD, their families and carers Enhanced Dementia Practice – K&S required by staff with more regular and intense contact with PwD, provide specific interventions and/or direct or manage care services Expertise in Dementia Practice – K&S required by staff, who by virtue of their role and practice setting, play an expert specialist role in the care, treatment and support of PwD
