2 Background Alcohol Harm Reduction National Support Team (AHR-NST) was formed in September 2008, as part of the DH Alcohol Improvement Programme The NST aims to offer free access to expert external support to help diagnose obstacles and opportunities for moving forward, and access to further support for planning and implementation Feedback provided to areas identifies strengths, opportunities for improvement and support that the NST may be able to provide Since September 2008, the AHR-NST has conducted diagnostic visits in 30 PCT areas Alcohol Harm Reduction National Support Team Supporting Local Areas to Reduce Alcohol Related Harm
