United States Flags The Stars and Stripes is the most popular name for the red, white, and blue national flag of the U.S.A

Francis Scott Key first called the U. S Francis Scott Key first called the U.S. flag the Star-Spangled Banner in 1814 when he wrote the poem that became the national anthem. The Stars and Stripes stands for, the land people, the government, and the ideals of the United States, no matter when or where it is displayed. Some other flag also stand for the United States, or its government, in certain situations.

The American flag is called the Stars and Stripes The American flag is called the Stars and Stripes. The horizontal red and white stripes represent the original thirteen states that declared they would no longer be colonies of Great Britain. The stars in the flag-white on a dark blue background- represent the number of states making up the United States. There are fifty of them now.
