2 fLAG The American flag has a meaning for each design and color. The stars represent states. One star equals one state. There are fifty stars because we have fifty states. Each stripe is a colony. There are thirteen stripes and thirteen colonies. The red on the flag means courage. White is for liberty. Blue is for loyalty. Our American flag stands for freedom. You can see the flag in lots of places. Some of the places are the moon and a school. This is what the color and design mean.

3 Statue of liberty Did you know the Statue of Liberty is a symbol of America? The Statue of Liberty represents freedom. The Statue of Liberty has chains by her feet. They are broken to show she is free. Frederic Auguste Bartholi made the design for the statue. Did you know about these facts about the Statue of Liberty?

4 Star spangled banner Imagine you are sitting and watching a sports game. Before they start they would sing he Star Spangled Banner. People sing the song at specific times or events. Did you know that the Star Spangled Banner was written by Francis Scoot Key? In fact it started as a poem. The Star Spangled Banner represents courage. These are some interesting facts about the Star Spangled Banner.

5 Liberty bell The Liberty Bell is not an ordinary bell it is actually very special. American freedom is what the bell represents. It is also the symbol of the fight to end slavery. The Liberty Bell got its name from a poem! These are some cool facts about the Liberty Bell.

6 Bald eagle Have you ever seen a bald eagle before? They are our national bird. The bald eagle represents three different things, the first one is freedom. The second one is strength. The third one is courage. Charles Thomson drew a picture of the bald eagle. The congress liked it and put it on the great seal. It’s also a symbol for colonist courage to fight. These are some cool facts about the bald eagle.
