C AL R IPKEN, JR.  As a major league baseball player, Cal Ripken, Jr. played for the Baltimore Orioles.  Cal Ripken, Jr. broke Lou Gehrig’s record of most consecutive games played with over 2,131.  He was named Sports Illustrated Athlete of the Year in 1995 for his commitment to the game.  His father was a manager for the Orioles and his brother also played professional baseball.  Cal Ripken, Jr. always puts family at the top of his list of priorities. He’s married with two children.
