Sumo Wrestlers Sumo Wrestlers try to force their opponent out of the boxing ring.

Mount Fuji Mount Fuji is actually a dormant volcano. It is Japan’s tallest mountain, towering at 3776 meters high. It is also the world’s second tallest mountain.

Chrysanthemum Chrysanthemums are the national flower of Japan. It can be used to make Chrysanthemum tea.

Sushi Sushi is a popular Japanese food that consists of vinegar rice wrapped in seaweed. Different types of Sushis are Sashimi, Futo Maki and Tamago

Sakura Cherry Blossoms are also known a Sakura. Sakura is Japan’s unofficial national flower. It bears pink flowers in the Spring.

Onsen Natural Hot Springs are formed when the groundwater in the Earth’s Crust is heated up. Japanese hot springs are called onsen.

Shinkansen Bullet trains in Japan are known as Shinkansens. They can move as fast as 581 km per hour.

Green Pheasents Green Pheasents are actually the National Bird of Japan. It is a bird of the lowlands and is commonly seen close to human settlements. It is native to the Japanese Archepelago.

National Flag The National Flag of Japan consists of a white background and a red dot in the middle, representing the sun. Japan is therefore known as “The Land of the Rising Sun”, or Nippon. The flag is officially called the Nisshoki, or the sun-mark flag, and is commonly known as the Hinomaru, or the sun disc.
