The Culture of Ancient Greece Ch. 8-1 Learning Targets Define tragedy, comedy, fable, epic. Define myth and elaborate on what the Greeks believed about gods/goddesses. Explain the role or purpose of an oracle. Describe Homer’s achievements. Explain what topics Greek stories often dealt with. Name three ideas that Greek artists hoped would inspire people.
