How does the internet work?  It is a common asked question, how does the internet work? It is hard to live life without internet.  It helps to look at Internet as a system with two main components. The first of those components is hardware. That includes everything from the cables that carry terabits of information every second to the computer sitting in front of you.  The internet is just a system of connections and networks that all send a signal out to the device requesting it.

What Runs the Internet?  Routers, servers, cell phone towers, satellites, radios, smartphones and other devices. All these devices together create the network of networks to run the internet smoothly.  The Internet is a malleable system, it changes in little ways as elements join and leave networks around the world.

What would make the internet slow?  You might have poor hardware connecting your machine to the wall.  Maybe your modem or router is not configured correctly.  Your computer is more than 3 years old  Your connection could be very poor or disconnected.

Difference between DSL and Cable  Cable modem services can slow down significantly if many people in your neighborhood access the Internet simultaneously.  Cable can be faster than DSL because cable takes right from your service which usually, can be pretty fast.

What is the internet meant for?  Basically, the internet is meant to search things that you need to do research on or maybe you just want to have fun and play some online games.  The internet can be used in many different ways and those range from Social Networking, to Games, to simply doing research.

CoNcLuSiOn  This was just a brief explanation about internet in general and things we wonder everyday about it.
