Who are we? Gewerbeoberschule Bruneck (Technical and Industrial High School Bruneck) is an Italian high school with lessons in German.

Our School System The Technical and Industrial High School (GOB) in Bruneck is divided into two parts. There are two school years of general education (Biennium) and three years of specialized training (Triennium).

Which way to go? GOB Bruneck offers 3 study programmes: mechanical engineering technical chemistry, biotechnology, and environmental engineering informatics

The Italian School System The Italian school system consists of 9 years of compulsory schooling (5 years of primary school + 3 years of middle school + 1 year of school during which students orientate themselves).

What is the “Matura”? The high school diploma is the so-called “Matura”, which is equivalent to the British A- level.

And after graduating? GOB Bruneck is a technical- vocational high school. This means that the students have the possibility of either joining the work force immediately after graduating or going on to university.
